KG 2 STUDENTS AT KALAR APPRECIATE PAINTING ACTIVITY
KG 2 students at Kalar International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, participated in a painting activity at the school on January 26, 2019.
On the day of the activity, students were divided into groups of five and sat at their tables excitedly waiting to receive their coloring materials and a picture to color in. The students thought carefully about the colors they wanted on their papers and proceeded to color and trace. The activity finished with the students enjoying lunch together and they each got to take their art work home.
The purpose of this activity was to allow students to express themselves through art while spending a joyful time with friends. It also allowed them to improve focusing skills and their pencil grip in preparation for learning to read and write. “It was a great opportunity to teach the students how to grip pen and use colors to paint,” said a parent.
