KALAR STUDENTS TAKE A TRIP TO GARMIAN CIVILIZATION MUSEUM

On September 22, 2018, Grade 3 students in Kalar International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, took a trip to the Garmian Civilization Museum.

Once students arrived, the teachers and supervisors lined them up and prepared them for their tour of the museum. Afterwards, the guide took the students into the museum and explained about the artifacts they would discover inside. Once the students finished exploring the museum, the guide gave the students the chance to ask questions about the museum and all that they saw, which he happily answered.

Trips to the museum are a great way for to reinforce what students learn in the classroom. The trip was meaningful to the students and gave them insight into the life of our ancestors and old civilizations. The students enjoyed looking at the artifacts and left in awe of what their ancestors were able to achieve. “It was a very important activity as it opened our children’s minds to our history and the past civilization,” said a parent.
