Kalar Organizes Trip to Sherwane Castle

To familiarize the students more with the Kurdish history and traditions, the Student Life Coordinator at Kalar International School arranged a trip for Grade 2 and Grade 3 students to the Sherwane Castle on Saturday, January 25, 2014.

Upon arrival, students had their faces painted and toured the castle, which was built in the 18^th century. They saw many different statues, pictures, and antiques displayed throughout. Many students were curious and asked about the importance of the castle and its history.

The students were excited during their visit and enthusiastic about becoming more familiar with the Kurdish culture and history.
