Kalar Holds Anfal Anniversary Day

In order to remember the Kurdish people killed by the Baath regime, Kalar International School held an Anfal Anniversary Day. On Monday, April 14, 2014, the Kurdish flag was lowered and replaced with a black flag as a symbol of sympathy and sorrow for the martyrs that died on that day. Students in grades 2 and 3 learned about the history of that massacre. They were grateful for their people’s sacrifices and hope for a better future for their country.
