Kalar 3rd Graders Receive First Aid Training
Grade 3 students at Kalar International School were given first aid training on Saturday, December 13, 2014. A medical associate who visited the class instructed the students on how to perform the Heimlich maneuver and treat somebody who is badly burned. The medical associate went on to explain other first aid duties that can be used to save somebody’s life in an emergency.
Students were eager to learn the different first aid skills and thoroughly enjoyed the training. Parents were very grateful that the school provided students with such vital information that will benefit those around them throughout their adult lives.
Kalar International School, a SABIS® Network school, believes in making a difference, one of the SABIS® Core Values. By showing their students how they can help in an emergency situation, students now know how they can make a lasting impact in someone’s life when an emergency is happening.
