Kalar Students Take a Trip to the Funfair

On October 29, 2016, Grade 1 students in Kalar International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, took a trip to the Kalar Funfair.

Once students arrived to the funfair, the teachers and supervisors lined them up so that they could hear about the games, instructions, and rules. Afterwards, the students were divided into five groups with each group starting at a different activity, this way all the students could enjoy all the games. These activities and games included hula hoop relay, a three legged race, zig-zag running game, balloon race, carton race, and more. After all the games the students enjoyed a lunch together in the garden and cleaned up after themselves.

The purpose of this activity was to provide an exciting day for the students by taking them to a funfair. The students were given the space and time to interact with one another and build friendships and happy memories. It was amazing of the school to provide a great opportunity for our kids to have a wonderful time at Kalar Funfair. Our kids experienced memorable moments and thoroughly rejuvenated themselves,” said a parent.
