Kalar Students in Grades 5 and 6 go Swimming

The SABIS Student Life Organization® (SLO®) at Kalar International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, and the P.E. department organized a swimming day at the Sports Center for students in grades 5 and 6 on September 3, 2016.

Students were divided into groups, and each group was supervised by a group of teachers, including one P.E. teacher. The students changed into their swimsuits and headed towards the pools, one for the boys and one for the girls. Before jumping into the pools and starting the fun, students were taught the rules of the center to ensure their safety. The rest of the time students played and splashed about with some beginner students using this opportunity to take swimming lessons.

Swimming day was a delightful activity organized for the students. The students really enjoyed their trip and realized how exciting and important sports and exercise are. “It was the most wonderful day, we had a lot of fun participating in the many physical activities. We were also taught how to swim and the importance of swimming,” said a student.
